Platform Data & Google Limited Use
Effective: September 20, 2026 · Last updated: September 26, 2026
Socira AI connects to social networks only through each network's official sign-in (OAuth). This page explains exactly what we access on each network, how we use it, and how you revoke access. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
1. How connections work
- You sign in on the network's own page and approve the permissions listed below. We never see or store your social media password.
- The network gives us access tokens. We encrypt them (AES-256-GCM) before storing them and refresh them automatically so posts keep going out.
- We only use a network's data to provide the features you use in Socira AI: publishing, scheduling, analytics, replies and listening. We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
- You can disconnect any account in My accounts at any time. We then delete its tokens immediately and its synced data within 30 days (see Data deletion).
2. Google: YouTube and Google Business Profile
Socira AI uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- What we access: your channel's name, picture and subscriber count (
youtube.readonly), and permission to upload videos you schedule (youtube.upload). For Google Business Profile, your basic profile and the locations you manage (business.manage). - How we use it: to show your channel in Socira AI, publish the videos and posts you create, and report their performance to you.
- Storage: tokens are encrypted; synced YouTube data is refreshed or deleted within 30 days, as the YouTube API Services policies require.
- Revoking access: disconnect in Socira AI, or remove Socira AI at Google Account → Security → Third-party access.
3. Meta: Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp
- Facebook: the Pages you choose to share (
pages_show_list,pages_manage_posts,pages_read_engagement) so we can publish to them and show their performance. - Instagram: your professional account's profile, the ability to publish media and manage comments (
instagram_business_*). - WhatsApp: through Meta's Embedded Signup, the WhatsApp Business accounts and phone numbers you choose to share (
whatsapp_business_management,whatsapp_business_messaging).
Use of Meta data follows the Meta Platform Terms. To remove access, disconnect in Socira AI or remove Socira AI in Facebook's Settings → Business integrations (or Instagram's Apps and websites). Instructions for deleting your data are on our Data deletion page.
4. Other networks
| Network | What we access | Revoke access |
|---|---|---|
| X (Twitter) | Profile; read and publish posts; offline access for scheduling (tweet.read, tweet.write, users.read, offline.access) | X → Settings → Security → Connected apps |
Name, email and picture; publish on your behalf (openid, profile, email, w_member_social) | LinkedIn → Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services |
Each network's own terms continue to apply to your use of it: X, LinkedIn.
5. AI features
If your workspace owner connects an OpenAI or Anthropic account, the text you send to AI features (for example a caption request, or mentions you paste for analysis) is sent to that provider under your workspace's own API agreement. Google user data is never sent to AI providers.
